iBase Designer - Hints & Tips
This section will list various hints and tips about using the iBase User application.

If you have two IDB files that were created using the same IDS file, if you open both of the IDB files in the same iBase Designer session you can tile the windows next to each other and copy Entities, Links or just fields from one database and paste them into the other database.
Picklists, semantics and attributes will automatically be copied over as well.
If you copied over a field that is already named the same in the destination database, a pop up window will be sitting minimised - you'll have to look for the extra window on your quick launch bar. The pop up window will say that there is a paste error and if you want to continue pasting without that field. Click OK.
