3 Day Essentials
All you need to know how to use Analyst's Notebook and customise to suit your needs.
Learn how to create Association & Temporal charts from reports.
This course introduces users to the basics of some of the searching and analytical features and how to plan and create importing specifications. (last updated Feb2022)

2 Day Analysis & Importing
Prerequisite: 3 Day Analyst's Notebook Essentials
This course builds on the analytical features taught in the 3 Day Essentials course and introduces the use of Find Text Regular Expressions, Conditional Formatting, Google Earth Mapping, Social Network Analysis and the extended Selection options.

3 Day iBase User
Preferred Prerequisite: 3 Day Analyst's Notebook Essentials
All you need to know how iBase User works for ALL levels of end users.
Learn how to create, edit and delete records in iBase User and through the Analyst's Notebook interface.
Learn how to create and use Find Record dialog, Queries, Coordinate Query Builder, Sets, Browse Definitions, Scored Matching, Field Calculator, Full-Text Search, Search 360, Alerts.
Learn how to expand records and create timeline charts in Analyst's Notebook and to export data to Excel.
Note: This course does NOT include importing.

1 Day iBase Importing
Prerequisite: 3 Day iBase User
This course is aimed for super users and administrators who have privileges to import data into the database.
Learn how to create single entity and linked entity import specifications.
Learn how to use the iBase ETL (Extraction, Transformation, Loading) tools to perform data standardisation and cleansing actions, including the use of conditions.

2.5 Day iBase Designer & Setup
Prerequisite: 3 Day iBase User, 1 Day iBase Importing
This course is aimed for administrators and database designers only.
Learn how to create a small iBase database using an insurance claim dataset.
This course is facilitated with the use of pre-created data sets including customised icons and pick lists.
Staged versions of completion are provided in case some users are not able to complete the different stages within the course time-frame.
The users will create templates from the database and also set up a side-by-side Development (Access) and Production (SQL) database environment. The SQL environment will include setting up Full-Text Search, Search 360 and Alerting.
Note: This course has a pre-created database model. Discussions can be included on how to conduct consultation meetings with clients to learn how to create database models based on client requirements.

2.5 Day iBase Systems Administrators
Prerequisite: 3 Day iBase User, 1 Day iBase Importing, 2.5 Day iBase Designer & Setup
This course is aimed at administrators only.
Learn how to perform administrative actions such as Batch Editing, Batch Deleting, Restoring & Purging Soft Deleted Records.
Create Batch Import Specifications and Batch Export Specifications with a Staging Database and the iBase Import Scheduler to perform complex automated data export & re-import routines to perform bulk data editing.
Learn how to schedule SQL Scripts to change icon shading.
Learn how to relocate a SQL database from one server to another server.

iBase Consultations
A customised iBase database can be built to suit your requirements, including customised picklists, icons and associated Analyst's Notebook template(s).
Designs can be based on current data sets used by the analyst / investigator, including forms, reports and queries. Designs can also be based on data sets from external data sources / database extracts.

Data Cleansing Services
IBM i2 iBase can be used to de-duplicate the data and thereby assist in identifying commonality or networking / syndicate relationships.
Use iBase to cleanse data, such as:

Standardise Telephone Numbers to 10-digit Australian number.
- Standardise names of people and organisations to remove additional characters such as spaces, decimals, commas, hyphens, brackets, etc..
- Standardise Bank Accounts, ensuring the 6-digit BSB/Routing Number and the full Account Number does not include additional characters such as spaces, decimals, commas, hyphens, brackets, etc..
- Standardise Email Addresses, ensuring that they all contain @ and . in the address.
- Standardise Vehicle Licence Place/Registration Numbers to remove additional characters such as spaces, decimals, commas, hyphens, brackets, etc..
- Standardise Street Addresses where possible.
Note: Addresses will either be expanded to the full street name (Road, Street) OR abbreviated (Rd, St). Because of the amount of variation on writing an address, this can only be guaranteed to a 70% quality standardisation if the raw data relies on free text on data capture.

Analytical Services
Perform analysis on your data.

Customised Icons
Customised icons can be created using existing i2 icons or royalty-free clipart/images as a base and the image edited to suit your requirements. This is useful for charting different images that are not provided with the IBM i2 suite, such as different female/face-less occupation images, new phone images, banking / credit card images.
Create customised PNG and BMP images that can be used as Icons and/or Attributes for the IBM i2 software.
This is charged per group of images.
